S&R Associates elevates Shahezad Kazi to Partnership; promotes three lawyers to Counsel

S &R Associates has elevated counsel Shahezad Kazi into its partnership.

Shahezad Kazi was an advocate practicing at the Bombay high court prior to joining S&R Associates in 2016. He specializes in corporate, commercial and real estate litigation, insolvency matters, securities law and other regulatory matters and international arbitration.

Shahezad has earlier worked with Negandhi, Shah & Himayatullah in Mumbai; Majmudar & Partners in Mumbai and A&L Goodbody in Dublin

The firm has also promoted three of its lawyers to counsel – Abhiroop Amitava Datta, Raunaq Bahadur Mathur and Dhruv Nath.

Abhiroop Amitava Datta is a corporate lawyer specialized in capital markets and regulatory matters and has worked with law firms like Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and AZB & Partners. He is a NALSAR University graduate. He joined S&R Associates in 2017.

Raunaq Bahadur Mathur has been with the firm since 2010 and her practice focuses on international and domestic arbitration, including in infrastructure, oil and gas and maritime matters, shareholder disputes and corporate and commercial litigation. Raunaq is a member of the LCIA Young International Arbitration Group, the YSIAC and the Supreme Court Bar Association.

Dhruv Nath, a graduate from NLSIU has been working with S&R Associates from 2009 to 2015 in their Delhi office and after a year rejoined the firm in Mumbai in 2016. He handles M&A, private equity, regulatory and general corporate matters, including in the telecommunications, manufacturing and financial services spaces.
