ANM Global, a law firm with a pan India presence, has expanded its intellectual property team and overall practice with a merger with Mumbai-based firm Literati Juris.

The joint firm will operate under the name ANM Global. On the 10 lawyers joining the firm, the total strength of fee earners will now be 50.

Literati Juris was founded by Ragini Shah and Rahul Dhote in 2018. It provided full-service solutions in the areas of intellectual property; technology, media & entertainment; sports & gaming laws; IPR investigations and raids; data protection and privacy law; and startup solutions.

Along with his entire team, Dhote has joined ANM Global as a Partner and Practice Head, Intellectual Property.

With over 12 years of experience in contentious and non-contentious matters pertaining to IP and allied practice areas, he has catered to clients across a variety of sectors/industries ranging from pharmaceuticals and life sciences; to media and entertainment; manufacturing; information technology, e-commerce and gaming; FMCGs; chemical; infrastructure; automotive and engineering; electronics; technology; and startups.

Shah is an Indian registered patent lawyer and a UC Berkeley graduate with Honors in Intellectual Property. She is triple qualified as a science graduate, patent agent and lawyer.

Earlier, she worked as a partner with a US law firm, leading their patent practice and international relations. Her expertise extends to patent drafting, prosecution, obtaining grants, providing legal opinions, FTOs, conducting prior art searches; advisory; transactions; enforcement; and managing intellectual property portfolios.
