Brookfield Infrastructure Group (Brookfield) is all set to acquire Reliance Communications Limited (RCOM) and Reliance Infratel Limited’s (RITL) mobile towers business for $1.6 billion (Rs. 11,000 crore).

J Sagar Associates advised RCOM and RITL on the Indian law aspects of the deal. The team was led by Partners Dina Wadia, Sandeep Mehta, Rajesh Pal and Manav Raheja, along with Associates Prannoy Semwal and Ronak Shah.

Herbert Smith Freehills was international counsel for the Reliance companies; the team was led by Partner Roddy Martin.

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas advised Brookfield and the team was led by Mumbai Managing Partner Akshay Chudasama along with Partners Jay Gandhi and Roopal Kulsrestha, Senior Associate Abhishek Parekh and Associate Neelam Pathak.
