DSK Legal advised TPG backed Quality Care India Limited ("CARE") in relation to the acquisition of Convenient Hospitals Limited group (CHL).

CARE is a multi-speciality healthcare provider with 14 healthcare facilities in 6 cities across 5 states in India. CARE is a regional leader in south and central India and is amongst the top 5 pan-India hospital chains. CARE delivers comprehensive care in over 30 specialities.

Instituted as a single-specialty cardiac hospital in Hyderabad in 1997 with 100 beds, CARE Hospitals today has a network of 15 healthcare facilities in six states with more than 2,400 beds offering 30 clinical specialties. The network has its presence in Hyderabad, Raipur, Bhubaneswar, Pune, Visakhapatnam, Nagpur and Indore.

Established in 2001, Convenient Hospitals (CHL) has a capacity of 250 beds and is adding another 150 beds. CHL owns and/or operates multi speciality hospitals in Indore and has one of the largest teams of medical professionals in Madhya Pradesh.

According to a 2021 NITI Aayog Report, India's healthcare industry has been growing at a CAGR of around 22% since 2016 and at this rate, it is expected to reach $372 billion in 2022.
