The largest law firm in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, Al Tamimi & Company advised HashKey Holdings (“HashKey”) as UAE counsel on its historic Hong Kong IPO, marking the city’s first-ever listing by a fully crypto-native digital asset company. The IPO raised HK$1.61 billion, achieving a 5.5x institutional oversubscription and a 394x retail oversubscription.
Al Tamimi & Company’s Capital Markets team acted as UAE counsel to HashKey, with Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP acting as the issuer’s counsel and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP acting as counsel to the sponsors and underwriters.
This transaction adds to a strong year for Al Tamimi in cross-border capital markets, alongside other major overseas IPOs: China Medical System Holdings Ltd (Singapore) and Klarna Bank AB (US).
