Clifford Chance advised Volkswagen Group on €1.9 billion dual-tranche green hybrid bond issuance

Global law firm Clifford Chance has advised leading automotive manufacturer Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft on the issuance of a dual-tranche green hybrid bond by Volkswagen International Finance N.V., guaranteed by Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft. The bond raised a total of €1.9 billion from international investors.

Clifford Chance has a longstanding relationship with Volkswagen Group, having advised on various previous hybrid bond issuances, including the 2025 Hybrid Bond.

The banking syndicate for this transaction included Barclays Ireland Bank PLC, Deutsche Bank Aktiengesellschaft, Mediobanca – Banca di Credito Finanziario S.p.A., NatWest Markets N.V., Société Générale, and UniCredit Bank GmbH.
