On the insurance and disputes side, he has advised on large and complex proceedings, including matters that have been highly publicised in the media.
He specialises in corporate and commercial law, M&A, and insurance, serving both start-ups and ASX-listed entities on corporate governance, buy-ins and structuring, capital raising, expansion, exit transactions, and various commercial arrangements involving intellectual property, licensing, distribution, and operations. In insurance, Wood has financial lines, directors’ and officers’ advisory and defence experience, having acted on some of Australia’s largest litigated claims, including class actions and corporate collapses. He has been recognised by Best Lawyers Australia in 2023, 2024, and 2025.
Rebecca Kelly (Australia Managing Partner, Brisbane) commented,
