Global Law Firm King & Spalding has announced the addition of labour and employment lawyer Sydney Jones Lampard as a Partner on its Global Human Capital and Compliance (GHCC) team. Lampard will be based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.
Lampard’s expertise lies in advising private equity firms as well as public and private companies on labour and employment matters within complex transactions. Her extensive experience includes handling major M&A transactions, conducting acquisition-related due diligence, assessing risks, drafting employment and restrictive covenant agreements, addressing union-related issues, and negotiating employment agreements for transitioning management teams.
Darren Gardner, head of the firm’s GHCC practice, praised Lampard’s prowess: “Sydney is an impressive and dynamic lawyer who has extensive experience with the complex US labour and employment issues arising in M&A transactions. Lampard joins King & Spalding from Kirkland & Ellis. She holds a B.A. from Duke University, magna cum laude, and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
