OBH Lawyers Appoints Niccolò Travia as Partner and Head of Regulatory & Administrative Law Practice

The Dubai-based law firm, OBH Lawyers has appointed Niccolò Travia as Partner and Head of its Regulatory & Administrative Law Practice, reinforcing the firm’s strategy to support Italian companies in their development and international expansion, as well as foreign operators accessing the Italian market. Travia brings extensive experience in administrative law, with a focus on the gaming, energy, and technology sectors. His practice encompasses advising clients on authorization and licensing procedures, managing relations with competent authorities, representing clients before administrative courts, and handling permitting, antitrust, and compliance matters related to corporate transactions and projects with significant regulatory impact. He also supports IT departments in the design and implementation of operational models based on DLT infrastructures and Web3 technologies.

Travia said,

Prior to joining OBH Lawyers in October 2025, Travia has held multiple positions, including Partner at Coinlex Srl (2018–2023), Avvocato at Studio Legale Lorenzoni (2017–Present), and Of Counsel at Dalla Vedova Studio Legale (2022–Present). He has also been a Visiting Researcher at UNIDROIT (2023) and Universität Heidelberg (2023), and held associate and legal trainee roles at various Italian law firms, gaining extensive experience in public law, blockchain, and digital asset regulation.

Travia holds a Postdoctoral degree from Università degli Studi di Firenze (2022–2024) on distributed ledger technologies, a PhD in Legal Sciences from Università degli Studi Roma TRE (2011–2015), a Laurea Specialistica in Giurisprudenza (2007–2009), and completed secondary education at Liceo Ginnasio Statale G. Mameli and Marymount International School.

His appointment strengthens OBH Lawyers’ advisory capabilities in regulatory and administrative law and demonstrates the firm’s commitment to guiding clients in complex domestic and cross-border projects.
