Watson Farley & Williams Appoints Paul Coggins as Partner
The leading international law firm, Watson Farley & Williams (WFW), has appointed Paul Coggins as a Partner in its Tokyo office to strengthen its Asia-Pacific maritime offering.
Coggins rejoins WFW after more than 15 years at Norton Rose Fulbright, where he served as Partner from May 2016 to February 2026, and prior to that as Senior Associate and Associate. Before joining Norton Rose Fulbright, he spent four years at WFW as a Solicitor, joining as a trainee solicitor with overseas secondments to Singapore (2007/2008) and Hong Kong (BNP Paribas Asia Shipping Desk, 2008), and qualified in 2008 into the Projects and Structured Finance Department in London.
Coggins specialises in Asset and Project Finance, with a particular focus on Shipping. He holds a B.A, M.A., and MPhil in Classics from the University of Cambridge (2000–2004) and completed his Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School (2004–2006).
