DMD Advocates has announced that Varun Mowar has joined the firm as director and head of investigations and governance advisory.

His career spans over 20 years of forensic and compliance risk engagements in India, the US, and other countries. Mowar has in-depth experience in forensic investigations, accounting, auditing and financial systems and controls. He has conducted numerous large and complex investigations in India for corporate clients as well as some of the largest institutional investors and law firms.

A graduate of the University of Delhi, Mowar completed his chartered accountancy at The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He earned his Master’s in strategy & leadership from the London Business School.

Mowar has worked with leading organizations including Alvarez & Marsal, KPMG (India and US), and Adobe Software System. He was presently working at Quantum Theory Consulting Private Limited.
