King & Spalding Announces Appointment of Veronica Moyé as Partner for Upcoming Office in Dallas

International law firm King & Spalding has announced its plans to open an office in Dallas with the hiring of trial lawyer Veronica Moyé in the business litigation practice.

It will be the firm’s third in Texas and will be led by recent arrivals Sean Royall, the global head of the anti-trust and consumer protection practice, and Alfonso Chan, intellectual property lawyer.

Speaking on the development, Robert Hays, the chairman of King & Spalding stated, “Moyé is a star first-chair trial lawyer with valuable in-house experience and a passion for mentoring and developing the next generation that aligns with our commitment to clients and associates.”

He added, “While our firm has long-term relationships with several key clients in Dallas, the critical mass of talent we now have, internally solidified our decision to commit on-the-ground resources in this important market, which is home to many of the country’s top corporations. She is a terrific anchor hire and we are confident that the office will expand quickly with additional talent.”

Moyé will focus on litigation matters spanning antitrust, IP, class action and commercial disputes.

She served at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher for 12 years, recently as the co-chair of the firm’s global litigation practice group, and was among its executive committee members. Earlier, for almost six years, she was a partner at Vinson & Elkins.

The Dallas office of King & Spalding adds to its offices in Houston and Austin, where it has been located since 1995 and 2008, respectively. The Dallas office, its 24th office globally, will focus on corporate, finance and restructuring, business litigation, government investigations, real estate, investment funds and product liability and mass tort work.
