Amitabh Sharma and Naved Askari have rebranded their firm as North Excel Associates (NXL).
North Excel Associates specialises in corporate and dispute resolution across industries such as infrastructure, Energy, pharma & life sciences, shipping, financial services, start-ups, and media & entertainment and is based out of Mumbai.
Both Amitabh and Naved set out on their entrepreneurial journey in 2019. After having worked across each other while Amitabh was a Partner at Khaitan & Co. and Naved was the General Counsel at Suzlon, they continued to stay in touch through their stints at HSA Advocates (as a Managing Partner) and AZB & Partners (Senior Legal Counsel), respectively.
Coming from similar upbringing and beliefs they came together to form NXL. The ethos of the firm is built on the fact that every individual is a stakeholder.
When asked why they embarked upon the entrepreneurial journey, the founders said that there was a strong desire to build a niche, quality-conscious, agile, and solution-oriented law firm while focussing on the team's development, growth, and satisfaction.
