Chandhiok & Mahajan Advised Indorama Ventures on Landmark Cross-Border Packaging Transaction

The leading full-service Indian law firm, Chandhiok & Mahajan (C&M) acted as legal counsel to Thailand-based Indorama Ventures Group on the proposed merger of its global packaging business, housed under Indovida India Private Limited, with EPL Limited (EPL), currently backed by Blackstone. The transaction, valued at approximately USD 2 billion, will result in Indorama Ventures Group acquiring a controlling stake in EPL, creating a strong platform in the global packaging sector.

C&M is providing comprehensive legal support across corporate, competition and regulatory workstreams on this complex, multijurisdictional transaction. The firm’s Competition and Regulatory Practice is leading the global approval strategy, including antitrust clearance from the Competition Commission of India and across more than 10 jurisdictions as well as foreign investment approvals.
