Brown Rudnick Bolsters White Collar Defence in London with Top Lawyer Paul Feldberg

Boston-based law firm Brown Rudnick has strengthened its London white-collar practice with the recruitment of Paul Feldberg, a partner from Jenner & Block.

Building on a string of successful senior hires in London, Brown Rudnick has welcomed Feldberg to lead its white-collar practice. The 200-lawyer firm's expansion continues with Feldberg's arrival, adding his defence, investigations, and compliance expertise to the team just after securing co-head of Weil Gotshal's white-collar group, Steven Tyrrell, in Washington DC.

Feldberg brings a wealth of experience to Brown Rudnick, having spent the past five years at Jenner & Block co-chairing both the national security sanctions and export control group and the bribery/FCPA group. Prior to that, he honed his skills as a senior prosecutor at the UK's Serious Fraud Office, making him a well-rounded powerhouse for white-collar cases.

Stephen Best, chair of the white collar practice, emphasised Feldberg’s public sector experience at the UK's SFO and private practice leadership at Jenner & Block as key strengths for Brown Rudnick.

“As companies ensure compliance with the far-reaching amendments to the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act introduced in the UK, our multinational clients will benefit from Paul’s knowledge and experience in this area, and we are excited to welcome him to the firm,” Stephen Best said.

Feldberg is a multi-faceted white-collar expert, advising corporations on navigating the complexities of money laundering, sanctions, bribery, and fraud across borders. His career path exemplifies this versatility, covering courtroom battles as a barrister, prosecutorial roles with HMRC and the SFO, and private practice experience at Jenner & Block and Willkie Farr & Gallagher.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Brown Rudnick’s white-collar practice, which is made up of some of the most well-regarded lawyers in this area of law,” Feldberg said.

Recognising the unique challenges faced by large multinationals, Feldberg views Brown Rudnick's extensive resources as an ideal solution. He looks forward to partnering with colleagues across the globe, from M&A specialists to brand and reputation experts, to tailor solutions that safeguard client interests and fuel their continued success.

Building on the solid foundation of a Chambers-recognised civil fraud team, Paul Feldberg takes the reins in London. Comprising 12 lawyers, including six partners and renowned expert Jane Colston, the team has a proven track record of success for clients like international banks, shareholder groups, and high-net-worth individuals.

Feldberg's arrival marks the latest chapter in Brown Rudnick's London expansion, building on the momentum set by last October's strategic hires. These included Derval Walsh, Mishcon de Reya's former finance and banking disputes head, and Robin Pickworth, renowned UK civil fraud practitioner from Armstrong Teasdale.
