Global law firm Pinsent Masons has hired Charlotte Scholes to join its financial services sector in London. She has returned to the firm from where she completed her training contract, and had served in the pensions team for over a decade.

Her practice spans the full range of pensions litigation. She has extensive experience acting for trustees, employers and representative beneficiaries in rectification and construction proceedings. Her expertise lies in advising claimants or defendants in professional negligence claims.

Scholes was previously serving as a Legal Director in the pension’s litigation practice at Gowling WLG.

On her re-appointment, Stephen Scholefield, the head of Pinsent Masons’ pensions & long-term savings team stated, “It’s a pleasure to welcome Scholes back in our team. She has considerable experience and deep litigation knowledge that will bring significant value to our professional trustee clients.”

Scholes added, “Pinsent Masons is one of the leading pensions litigation teams in the UK and I’m both delighted and proud to come back to such a highly ranked team and to participate in its future success.”

She is the third partner to join the firm’s pension team in the last year, following Amie Bain in Glasgow and Andy Wright in Leeds.
