Choice Hotels International has appointed Jeff Lobb as SVP, General Counsel and Secretary, effective March 26, 2026. In this role, Jeff Lobb will oversee the company’s global legal and public policy strategy, corporate governance, and board administration, and will join the Executive Leadership Team reporting directly to Pat Pacious. The appointment coincides with the planned retirement of Simone Wu, who will remain involved during the transition period to ensure continuity.
Experience
Jeff Lobb brings over two decades of legal experience, having joined Choice Hotels International in 2006. He most recently served as Deputy General Counsel, leading the corporate, finance, and transactions teams. Over his tenure, Jeff Lobb has managed complex corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, investments, real estate ventures, and major commercial agreements, while playing a central role in governance and board administration. Prior to joining Choice Hotels, he worked at Arent Fox LLP (2002–2006) and Pillsbury Winthrop LLP (2000–2002), focusing on corporate counseling, M&A, real estate, financing, and hospitality transactions.
Education
Jeff Lobb holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from William & Mary, graduating Order of the Coif, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Government and Theology, Cum Laude from Georgetown University.
