Dentons Appoints Capital Markets Partner Peter Cullen in Dubai
The global law firm, Dentons, the world's largest global law firm, has appointed Peter Cullen as Capital Markets partner in its Dubai office. Peter Cullen joins the firm’s growing Middle East Banking and Finance team, bringing expertise in Debt Capital Markets (DCM) and Structured Products, with a particular focus on Sukuk and Islamic Finance.
With over eight years of experience practicing in the Middle East, Peter Cullen has advised on complex transactions for both international and regional banks, developing strong relationships with major investment banks and local financial institutions. He officially joined Dentons on 5 January 2026.

Dentons operates seven offices in the Middle East, including Amman, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai, Jeddah, Muscat, and Riyadh, and has maintained a presence in the region for over 50 years, providing clients with a combination of local support and international capability.
Peter Cullen’s experience includes serving as Partner at Dentons since January 2026 in Dubai. Prior to joining, he was Counsel and Managing Associate at Linklaters in Dubai from March 2013 to March 2023, and an Associate at Herbert Smith Freehills in London from March 2013 to January 2018, where he advised on cross-border capital markets and structured finance transactions.
Peter Cullen holds a Legal Practice Course certificate from BPP Law School (2012–2013), a Graduate Diploma in Law from The University of Law (2010–2011), and an Msci in Physics with Theoretical Physics from Imperial College London (2006–2010). He completed his earlier education at Westminster School, London (2000–2005).
