DLA Piper has hired Russell Holden as a partner to strengthen its corporate practice in London.

Holden’s practice is a mix of ECM and M&A work advising both companies and investment banks on UK and cross-border transactions, primarily in the technology, life sciences, and real estate sectors.

Jon Kenworthy, the UK head of corporate at DLA Piper commented: “Holden is a perfect fit for DLA Piper’s corporate practice and our global footprint. His skill set means that he will not only bolster our existing capital markets capability, but also work on wider M&A matters, as market conditions dictate. We look forward to him joining the firm and adding further bench strength and experience to our successful team.”

On the ECM side, Holden advises on IPOs and secondary fundraisings for both issuers and investment banks on the Main Market and AIM. This includes corporate governance advice to boards, relating to issues including board composition, governance, and announcement requirements. Whereas on the M&A front, he has led both private and public transactions, buy-side and sell-side, for a mix of listed and private companies.
