DLA Piper Canada Announces the Addition of Partner Raj Dewan

DLA Piper Canada has announced the hiring of Rajeev "Raj" Dewan as a partner in the Capital Markets group at its Toronto office.

Raj is a prominent business lawyer with a strong background in capital markets and cross-border practice. He specialises in helping emerging growth companies and entrepreneurs in industries like eSports, fintech, healthcare, mining, and technology. Raj provides strategic advice on various matters, including going public transactions, financings, cross-border M&A, international joint ventures, and corporate governance. His expertise is a valuable asset to the firm and its clients in these sectors.

He focuses on cross-border transactions and international listings between North America, Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa. He regularly advises merchant banks, family offices, and emerging growth companies based in those regions on going public and M&A in North America.

Raj was recently appointed to the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) Venture Exchange’s Listing Advisory Committee (Ontario), which advises the TSX Venture Exchange’s senior management on policy developments and trends in the capital markets.

He also recently served on the Ontario Securities Commission’s Small and Medium Enterprises Committee and is a charter member of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), one of the largest global entrepreneur organizations based in Silicon Valley.
