The young and vibrant Malaysian law firm, Donovan & Ho, has appointed Hooi Chung Wai as a Partner in its Dispute Resolution practice, further strengthening the firm’s capabilities in high-stakes corporate and commercial litigation.
Chung Wai brings extensive experience in shareholder and corporate disputes, including minority oppression actions, directors’ duties, derivative claims, and complex shareholder conflicts. His practice also covers commercial and contractual disputes, negligence claims, securities litigation, and domestic and international arbitration. He has appeared at all levels of the Malaysian courts and is recognised for his strategic, commercially grounded approach.
Chung Wai joined Donovan & Ho in February 2026 after serving as Partner at Shan Chambers from February 2024 to February 2026. Prior to that, he spent over six years at LHAG, progressing from Legal Intern to Senior Associate in Kuala Lumpur. His expertise spans corporate and commercial dispute resolution, as well as trust, probate, and administration matters.
