Erica Mecler Caron joins Frost Brown Todd as Partner in Insurance 

Frost Brown Todd (FBT) has appointed Erica Mecler Caron as Partner in its Product, Tort & Insurance Litigation practice group in Columbus, Ohio.

Caron joins FBT from Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, where she served as Senior Litigation Counsel, managing an active caseload of insurance coverage and excess exposure matters spanning commercial and professional liability lines. She led litigation strategy for cases initiated by and against Liberty Mutual across multiple jurisdictions, including high-exposure venues such as California, Washington, Missouri, and New York.

Caron’s work involved collaboration with outside counsel and internal stakeholders, along with review of briefs, discovery, and other litigation materials. She also partnered with business groups, including underwriting and product teams, to ensure coordinated approaches to complex legal and coverage matters.

Caron earned her Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School and her bachelor’s degree from Smith College. She also serves as a legal mentor for Discovering Justice’s Mock Trial Program, volunteering weekly to help 8th grade students explore justice and argue mock cases.
