The Global Law firm, Orrick has expanded its international disputes strength with the appointment of Elaine Wong as Partner in its International Arbitration Practice, reinforcing the firm’s growing presence across Asia. She will be based in Singapore.
Elaine Wong brings extensive experience in handling cross-border disputes and international arbitrations for multinational clients across energy & infrastructure, finance, life sciences, and technology sectors, with a focus on Singapore, Japan, and Southeast Asia.
With her addition, Orrick’s International Arbitration group now comprises nearly 50 lawyers globally, recognized by Chambers, Legal 500, and Global Arbitration Review as a Top 30 arbitration practice worldwide nine times in the past decade.
The firm launched its Singapore office in 2021, which has now grown to seven partners, six of whom specialize in project finance for the energy & infrastructure industry. Elaine Wong’s arrival follows a year of strategic growth, with 16 partner hires globally in 2025, including notable energy sector additions in London and Tokyo.
Elaine Wong joins from Herbert Smith Freehills, where she practiced in both Singapore and Tokyo. She is dual-qualified in Singapore and England & Wales, and is recognized by Chambers Asia-Pacific and Legal 500.
