Kevin Havelda Returns to Frost Brown Todd as Business Litigation Partner in Denver
Frost Brown Todd (FBT) has expanded its Denver office with the addition of Kevin Havelda as Partner in the firm’s Business Litigation Practice Group. Havelda rejoins FBT, where he began his career as an associate in the Lexington, Kentucky office.
Havelda represents clients in a broad range of disputes, including complex commercial litigation, employment-related claims, physician and medical provider licensure matters, insurance defense, and general civil cases. He also advises on non-compete enforcement, restrictive covenants, and employment agreements, providing businesses with proactive counseling to mitigate litigation risks.
“As Denver’s business community continues to grow across key sectors like energy, technology and finance, Kevin’s broad litigation experience and long-standing relationships in Colorado will be a tremendous asset to our clients,” said John Kellogg, partner-in-charge of the firm’s Denver office. “His return to FBT reflects our ongoing commitment to strengthening the Denver office and expanding the resources we offer clients facing increasingly complex business disputes.”
FBT launched its Denver office in spring 2024, extending its full-service capabilities into the Rocky Mountain region to support one of the nation’s most dynamic business markets.
“Frost Brown Todd has a collaborative culture and a well-resourced national platform that aligns with my practice and my clients’ needs,” said Kevin Havelda. “I’m thrilled to once again work alongside my wonderful FBT colleagues and contribute to the continued growth of the Denver office. It is particularly exciting to return to the firm that invested so heavily in me as a young lawyer. FBT is responsible for much of my development as a litigator and I am grateful for the mentorship I received. I am eager to join this outstanding team of professionals to continue the firm’s legacy of excellence in the Denver office. There is no better place to practice law and to call home.”
Havelda earned his J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law, a master’s degree in education from Hunter College, and a bachelor’s degree from Centre College. He previously clerked for the Honorable Claria Horn Boom of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky. A former educator, he is currently serving his first term as a Director on the Poudre School District Board of Education, an elected role.
