Matthew Layton joins FTI Consulting as senior advisor

He has over 40 years of experience as a legal practitioner and business leader at Clifford Chance

FTI Consulting, Inc. has announced the appointment of Matthew Layton as a Senior Advisor to the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

He will advise on the development of key client relationships and ensure that clients have access to the full range of the firm's services.

Commenting on his appointment, Kevin Hewitt, the EMEA chair of client services at FTI Consulting remarked, "Layton is an exceptional strategist and leader and we are delighted to have him join our team. The former global managing partner at Clifford Chance, Layton led the firm's strategic direction and was instrumental in driving a series of growth initiatives to expand the firm's client offerings.

He served as a global managing partner at Clifford Chance from 2014-2022 and was the global head of corporate practice from 2008-2013. Earlier, he led the London corporate finance and M&A practice and in 1991, became a partner at the firm.
