The commercial law firm based in Malaysia with a global reach, RDS Partnership is delighted to welcome Michele Kythe Lim as Partner to lead our Corporate Governance & Compliance Practice.
With over 30 years of experience advising boards, regulators, and senior management, Michele is recognised as one of Malaysia’s foremost experts in governance excellence, board effectiveness, regulatory compliance, and sustainability oversight.
She previously served as Founding Past President & CEO of the Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia (ICDM), playing a pivotal role in shaping director development and corporate governance standards across Malaysia and the region. Michele has also held leadership roles at prominent organisations, including IHH Healthcare Berhad, Proton Holdings Bhd, and Pengurusan Danaharta Nasional Berhad, bringing deep expertise in legal, secretarial, and compliance functions.
Her appointment marks a significant milestone for RDS Partnership as we continue to expand our governance advisory capabilities and support boards in building resilient, future-ready institutions.
Experience
Michele Kythe Lim brings over 30 years of experience advising boards, regulators, and senior management across Malaysia. She currently leads the Corporate Governance & Compliance Practice at RDS Partnership, servicing top-tier PLCs. Michele previously served as President & CEO of the Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia (ICDM), shaping director development and corporate governance standards nationally and regionally. Her prior leadership roles include Group Head, Corporate Secretarial & General Counsel at IHH Healthcare Berhad, Chief Legal Counsel and General Manager at Proton Holdings Bhd, and Assistant General Manager, Legal Affairs & Risk Division at Pengurusan Danaharta Nasional Berhad. She began her career as an Advocate & Solicitor at Shook Lin & Bok.
Education
Michele holds an LL.B Hons, Bachelor of Laws, from Prifysgol Aberystwyth University and completed her A Levels at Temasek Junior College.
