Highly experienced Steven Tran joins MoFo's Singapore office from Mayer Brown
The American multinational law firm Morrison Foerster LLC has announced the hiring of private equity and M&A specialist Steven Tran as a partner in its Singapore office.
Tran moves to Morrison Foerster from Mayer Brown. He worked with the firm as a partner since 2019. Previously, he was associated with Hogan Lovells and Kirkland & Ellis.
Tran advises PE funds and their portfolio companies as well as multinational corporations on transactions in consumer, technology, real estate, professional services, and manufacturing sectors.
Advising a Southeast Asian sovereign wealth fund on its commercial and residential real estate co-investment in Vietnam; a global private equity fund on its proposed acquisition of a Singapore fintech company; and Tricor Group, a former portfolio company of Permira, on the restructuring of its Vietnam and Thailand operations are among the notable cases that Tran has handled.
Tran joins Morrison & Foerster as the 10th partner in the firm's Singapore office.
