The prominent Egyptian firm Shahid Law Firm is delighted to announce the appointment of Noha Khaled Abdelghaffar as Counsel in the Dispute Resolution Department. Based in Cairo, Egypt, Noha brings over a decade of experience in international arbitration and cross-border dispute resolution.
Noha joins the firm from Zulficar & Partners Law Firm, where she progressed from Associate to Senior Associate and Counsel in the International Arbitration team. She has also contributed as an ITA Reporter for Egypt and OHADA for the Institute for Transnational Arbitration. Earlier in her career, she gained valuable experience at leading law firms in Paris and Cairo, including Leboulanger & Associés, Ginestie Magellan Paley-Vincent, Zaki Hashem Attorneys, and Abdel Raouf Law Firm, among others. Noha has developed strong expertise in cross-border disputes, arbitration proceedings, and international commercial law, working across multiple jurisdictions and sectors.
Commenting on her appointment, Noha Khaled Abdelghaffar said,
“After more than 10 years of experience in international arbitration, it is both an honour and a privilege to join Shahid Law Firm as Counsel. In 2025, I dedicated a full year to strengthening my Spanish language skills, while working on an international arbitration matter with a French law firm. I was also delighted to share my insights on Third-Party Funding in the MENA Region, published at the YIMEL (Yearbook of Islamic and Middle Eastern Law). These experiences have reinforced my commitment to cross-border dispute resolution. Education
Noha holds a Master 2 in International Business Law from University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne, and a Master 1 in Business Law from Institut de Droit des Affaires Internationales (IDAI). She earned her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Cairo University and a Licence de droit from IDAI. She also completed her Baccalauréat Français, Série économique et sociale at Sacré-Coeur Caire. Her academic achievements have been complemented by active participation in student and professional societies, including leadership roles in AIESEC.
