Simmons & Simmons Appoints Raminder Singh to Lead ENRIC Initiatives in Saudi Arabia

The international law firm Simmons & Simmons has announced the appointment of Raminder Singh as a Partner in its Riyadh office, reinforcing the firm’s Energy, Natural Resources, Infrastructure and Construction (ENRIC) sector expertise and presence in Saudi Arabia.

Singh brings over 30 years of experience as an English law-qualified transactional lawyer, specialising in energy, natural resources, and infrastructure projects. His career spans two decades in private practice with leading international law firms, followed by a decade in senior in-house leadership roles at major corporates in the energy, natural resources, and infrastructure sectors. He has extensive experience across project development, project finance, joint ventures, and M&A transactions.

Having spent the past four years in Riyadh as Chief Legal Officer at a leading mining and metals company, Singh has developed significant on-the-ground transactional expertise in Saudi Arabia.

He will be based in Simmons’ new Riyadh office, launched in June 2025, alongside office head Amer Al Amr, Partner Niall Clancy, and recently hired Partner Umera Ali. The firm’s ENRIC offering in the Middle East has also been strengthened by Managing Associate Dina Issa in its Dubai office, with experience in regional construction and infrastructure development matters, particularly focused on Saudi Arabia.

Commenting on the appointment, James Coleman, Partner and Head of Corporate & Commercial Practice in the Middle East, said,

"Raminder’s strong energy, natural resources, and infrastructure project expertise, combined with his deep understanding of the Saudi market, makes him an invaluable addition to our team. His arrival underscores our commitment to becoming a leading ENRIC practice in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East."

On joining the firm, Raminder Singh said,

"I am excited to join Simmons & Simmons and contribute to the firm’s growth in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. The firm’s stellar international platform, strategic focus on the ENRIC sector, and commitment to the Kingdom and the wider region provide an excellent opportunity to leverage my experience and relationships to deliver real value to the firm’s clients."
