International law firm Simmons & Simmons has announced the appointment of Hannah Shipley as Partner in its Dubai office, where she will lead the firm’s Middle East tax practice.
Hannah Shipley brings more than 20 years of experience in financial services tax, advising clients across the Middle East and internationally, with a particular focus on the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. Her practice covers a broad range of tax matters, including tax advisory, operational tax, transactional support, tax controversy, and tax policy.
She has extensive experience advising financial institutions, asset managers, and investment funds. Her appointment marks a significant enhancement of Simmons & Simmons’ regional tax capabilities and reflects the firm’s continued investment in the Middle East, following the opening of its Riyadh office in June 2025 and the launch of its Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) office earlier this week.
The firm’s expanding footprint across key regional financial centres underscores Simmons & Simmons’ commitment to supporting clients as tax and regulatory frameworks across the Middle East continue to evolve at pace.
