Engy Tan – Corporate and Commercial Practice

Engy Tan has been a key member of Skrine’s corporate and commercial teams, with a track record of delivering strategic and commercially focused legal solutions. She joined Skrine as a Senior Associate in July 2022 and has built on her prior experience at Jeff Leong, Poon & Wong, where she served as Senior Associate and Associate from 2015 to 2022.

Her experience spans corporate and commercial advisory, mergers and acquisitions, and complex transactional matters. Engy Tan’s dedication, technical expertise, and leadership have been instrumental in supporting the Firm’s clients through sophisticated domestic and cross-border deals.

Kailash Kalaiarasu – Litigation and Arbitration

Kailash Kalaiarasu brings specialized expertise in litigation, arbitration, and complex transnational fraud and asset recovery. His practice encompasses civil and commercial litigation, public law, constitutional law, and fundamental rights, with a notable focus on human rights and environmental law.

Among his high-profile matters, Kailash Kalaiarasu has:

  • Represented a foreign government agency in a worldwide fraud litigation involving claims of up to one billion ringgit in Malaysia.
  • Handled high-value land transaction disputes reaching the Federal Court of Malaysia.
  • Acted in a High Court suit concerning the abandoned aircraft at Malaysia’s largest airport, a matter that drew significant public attention.

Kailash Kalaiarasu has also contributed to legal scholarship, co-authoring articles on the International Court of Justice (ICJ) advisory opinion on climate change obligations, reflecting his commitment to thought leadership in emerging areas of law.
