Tarek first joined the Firm in 2011 and, following several years of international practice with leading global law firms in New York, re-joined Zaki Hashem in 2020. With over 13 years of experience, his practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, and general corporate and commercial matters.
He has advised prominent financial institutions, private equity sponsors, sovereign and development funds, and multinational corporations on complex, high-value domestic and cross-border transactions. Tarek is also highly active in the start-up and venture capital space, advising founders and start-ups at all stages of growth, as well as venture capital funds and angel investors. His experience further includes advising on major acquisitions, strategic investments, restructurings, and financings across sectors such as fintech, financial services, healthcare, technology, real estate, and industrials.
