BharatPe promotes Sumeet Singh as Chief Legal & Corporate Affairs Officer

BharatPe has announced the promotion of Sumeet Singh from General Counsel to Chief Legal & Corporate Affairs Officer, effective July 2025. The promotion expands Singh’s responsibilities to include broader corporate affairs functions for the company.

Singh is a seasoned legal professional with over 15 years of experience across fintech, banking, venture capital, and regulatory policy. He joined BharatPe in 2021 as General Counsel and Head of Corporate Strategy, prior to which he was associated with Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. In March 2025, Singh was also appointed as a Non-Executive Non-Independent Director on the board of Unity Small Finance Bank, a joint venture between BharatPe and Centrum Financial Services. His prior legal experience includes advising on M&A, private equity, and venture capital transactions for clients such as Reliance Group and Norwest Venture Partners.
