Justin Macke joins Sidley Austin as a private equity partner

Sidley Austin has hired Justin Macke as an M&A and private equity partner in New York.

Macke has diverse skills that include advising private equity clients on acquisitions, strategic transactions, and exits. He also guides corporate clients on M&A, corporate governance, capital raising, activism defense, and SEC matters. And works on cross-border transactions and complex carve-outs. Prior to joining Sidley, he was working at Jones Day.

Brian Fahrney, the co-leader of the global M&A and private equity practice and a member of Sidley's management and executive committees, remarked, "Macke is a versatile lawyer, who has worked on a wide variety of transactions and matters for PE and public company clients.
