'Rising star' Parveet Singh Gandoak has cross-border deals experience across Southeast Asia and India
The US law firm King & Spalding has boosted its Singapore mergers and acquisitions (M&A) team with the arrival of Parveet Singh Gandoak from Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.
Gandoak joins as a partner in the firm's corporate, finance and investments group. His practice will focus on advising multinationals, sovereign wealth funds, private equity sponsors and venture capital firms on cross-border M&As and other deal-related activity. These range in the sectors of technology, media, telecoms, energy and insurance.

Gandoak had spent over five years as counsel at Skadden in Singapore, having joined from Debevoise & Plimpton, where he was an associate for almost six years. He started his career as a corporate and securities associate at Dechert in New York. He entered numerous 'rising star' lists in the Asia legal press.
King & Spalding has been seeking to expand its Singapore practice beyond its historic focus on international arbitration and energy. In 2019, the firm had hired Asia-Pacific finance partner Andrew Brereton from Clifford Chance. The Singapore practice now has 30 lawyers.
