Linklaters Appoints Amit Singh as Head of India Practice

Linklaters has appointed Amit Singh, a Partner based in Singapore, as the new Head of its India Group.

With over two decades of experience in capital markets transactions across New York, London, and Asia, Amit will succeed Narayan Iyer.

Amit, who currently heads the firm's South and Southeast Asia capital markets practice, expressed his enthusiasm for leading the India practice. Under Amit’s leadership, the firm has grown to be a leading and pre-eminent capital markets practice in India.

According to the Firm, over time, Singapore has become a leading centre for India-related capital markets, corporate, banking and finance and arbitration work and there are increasing investments in India via Singapore. The firm also has an ever-growing focus on Asia and India is an important growth market.

In a press release, Amit stated, “I am delighted to take on this role. India is one of the fastest growing major economies of the world and a key jurisdiction informing the firm’s strategy.
