Shelly Kohli to Join HEINEKEN as APAC Regional Legal Director

The HEINEKEN Company has announced the appointment of Shelly Kohli, currently Director – Legal at United Breweries Ltd. (UBL), as Regional Legal Director for the Asia Pacific Region, effective January 1, 2026. She will be based in Singapore for her new role.

Kohli joined UBL, a HEINEKEN company, in July 2022 as Chief Legal & Compliance Officer and has since played a key role in strengthening the company’s legal and compliance framework. She will officially step down from her position at United Breweries on October 1, 2025.

According to the regulatory announcement, Neha Sachdev Munjral (Director – Legal) will take over Kohli’s position at UBL, effective October 1, 2025.

With over two decades of experience, Kohli is a seasoned corporate lawyer and a dual-qualified practitioner enrolled to practice in both India and the State of New York. Before joining UBL, she held senior legal leadership roles at Levi Strauss & Co. and Unilever, further building her expertise in corporate governance, compliance, and international legal strategy.

Her appointment to HEINEKEN marks a significant milestone as she transitions into a regional leadership role in Singapore, overseeing legal operations across the Asia Pacific market.
