Simon Branigan succeeds Aedamar Comiskey who is now the firm's Senior Partner-Elect

Corporate partner Simon Branigan has taken over as the new Global Head of Corporate of the Magic Circle law firm Linklaters. Simon succeeded Aedamar Comiskey who is now the firm's Senior Partner-Elect. He began his new role on 1 July.

Simon has been associated with Linklaters for the past 23 years, having joined the firm in 1998. He became a partner in the firm's London office in 2009. He has extensive experience advising corporates, financial institutions and investment trusts on mergers and acquisitions (both public and private), joint ventures and equity capital markets transactions.

Simon has been involved in some of the most complex and high-profile multi-jurisdictional transactions spanning the mining, retail, consumer, and oil and gas sectors. He also has extensive experience in the financial services sector and has been the co-head of the firm's bank sector.
