Suzuki Motor Gujarat Appoints Price Waterhouse As Auditor After Deloitte Haskins & Sells Quits

The Company intended to appoint a reviewer in India to be a part of the UHC’s network

The Board of Directors of Suzuki Motor Gujarat Pvt Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Maruti Suzuki India, has accepted the resignation of Deloitte Haskins & Sells LLP from the position of statutory auditors. It its place, the board approved the appointment of Price Waterhouse Chartered Accountants LLP.

Deloitte was to hold office from the financial year ending 1 April 2021 to the financial year ending 31 March 2026.

However, the resignation followed the communication by Tetsuharu Hayasaka, Managing Director, that Suzuki’s board changed its statutory auditor for the Company's operational efficiency. It needed to collaborate with the Ultimate Holding Company (UHC) and maintain the consistency of the audit process.
