The President of India (acting through the Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, Government of India) has sold approximately 15% of its stake in Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, through the stock exchange mechanism, aggregating to INR 4929.84 crores (Offer for Sale)

Trilegal represented the President of India (acting through the Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, Government of India) as his legal advisor as to Indian law in connection with the Offer for Sale.

Trilegal's role involved, drafting and negotiating the Brokers' Agreement, Escrow Agreement, the notice of the Offer for Sale, undertakings to the stock exchanges, post transaction disclosures and other transaction documents and assisting in the closing of the transaction.

The Trilegal team was led by partner Bhakta Patnaik. Other lawyers involved in the transaction were counsels Brajendu Bhaskar and Albin George Thomas; and associates Arjun Rastogi, Aditya Dsouza and Eklavya Malvai.
