Allyson Ho Appointed By President Donald Trump To White House Religious Liberty Commission
Gibson Dunn announced that partner Allyson Ho has been appointed by President Donald Trump to serve on the newly established White House Religious Liberty Commission.
The commission was created through a presidential executive order dated May 1, 2025. Its mandate is to prepare a comprehensive report addressing the foundations and societal impact of religious liberty in the United States. The commission will examine current threats to religious liberty, develop strategies to safeguard these protections for future generations, and promote awareness and celebration of America’s religious pluralism.
Additionally, the commission will advise the White House Faith Office and the Domestic Policy Council on matters concerning religious liberty policy. It will comprise up to 14 members, including clergy and legal experts.
Allyson Ho serves as Co-Chair of Gibson Dunn’s nationwide Appellate and Constitutional Law Practice Group. Her appointment to this commission highlights her expertise and commitment to constitutional law and religious freedoms.
